A Bird and her nest were soon parted

I sat with camera in hand waiting for for the action to begin. It was a chore, I didn't like, and was unable to carry out. Jerry knew that his Mom would insist on the nest being removed. He was right. Luckily there were no eggs, yet. I just hope miss Robin has time to build a new one before her due date. I left bits of string and straw for her to start over.

  1. Curious minds
Why did she insist on the nest coming down?

  2. Oh Dawn if you only knew! She called today, and said that the Robin insisted on building another one in the same spot! The war is on! My MIL has her own mind and thinks that only creatures that pay taxes should inhabit her house!

  3. Oh dear!!
I simply cannot relate nor understand, but that's cool about us humans I guess. Some adore cats, absolutely LOVE their cats - I despise the creepy rodents

Last spring we had new windows put in our kitchen and a french door in the dining room; On the house where the porch is, I have a huge twig wreath - the house finch claimed this wreath the year it went up and they've made a nest in it for years. Naturally we had to move it for the window installers and I was terrified she would not come back to her eggs. At the end of the day when the work was done, we hung the wreath back in its place and she returned to her eggs - whew!!
I can't imagine not sharing that wreath with them :)
